And We're Off...

We have been accepted! We have been welcomed into an amazing organization to drive us to our dream of expanding our family. Yes... after an introductory call, we have word that we are part of a group that has our best interest in mind as an LGBTQ+ couple.

Growing our family has been at the forefront of conversation since the beginning of our relationship. What does this mean for an LGBTQ+ partnership? How do we navigate the legalities of adoption? There are more known than unknowns in this space....so we do what we can - we research, research, and ask a lot of questions.

We feel confident, after all the questions, to work in partnership with an organization that primarily works with LGBTQ+ adoptive families. We found an organization that really knows us- one that truly understands us and actively puts us at the forefront.

So... next steps? Partner with a home study agency and keep true this path of knowing.
