Across the States We Go!

Well- picture this...we are in Danville, Illinois waiting, waiting, waiting. What shall we do? Bryson has canceled her flight to get to NC in time for Carson's graduation tomorrow! Tomorrow! There is nothing we can do but wait, wait for NC to give the go ahead for us to travel to NC. We are navigating our morning (which by the way - there is a lot to navigate with a newborn!). As we are packing up so we can be ready when / if we get the call - we get the call around 11am that we are all clear to travel. Now, you would think we could just jump in the car, however, it took us a minute to get out of the hotel room and pack the car. We had so much stuff to pack - the two new Yeti Coolers of breastmilk - plus the suitcases and backpacks - so many backpacks.

So - we put Logan in her car seat and off we went. I started the drive and Bryson was in the backseat ensuring Logan was content. We needed to stop every 90 minutes to allow Logan to stretch and get a break from the car seat. She went from the the NICU to a car seat - talk about a harsh transition.

We were thinking we may need to sleep in the car along the way, but we were able to plow thru to get to Greensboro. The drive was long - really really long to Greensboro. Logan did great - amazing, actually. We mastered the gtube feeding in the car - that was miracle!

As a bonus .... we got to drive thru WV and I got to point out my old stomping grounds. We did the quick drive thru tho because, well, it was raining and dark and needed to get ourselves to Greensboro. We rolled into the hotel around 1:30am - just in time to add more food to Logan's gtube feed and attempt to get a little sleep. Sleep is an interesting thing- it happens, but does it really?

We are all set with our plan for tomorrow- Bryson is going to go to Carson's graduation while Logan and I chill at the hotel - then we will go to Durham to meet up with Bryson's mom (Bet-Bet). Parker and Carson will get to meet their little sister tomorrow!
